Tax description   The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (the "Act") was enacted in December 2017. Among other things, the Act reduced the U.S. federal corporate tax rate from 34 percent to 21 percent as of January 1, 2018 and eliminated the alternative minimum tax ("AMT") for corporations. Since the deferred tax assets are expected to reverse in a future year, it has been tax effected using the 21% federal corporate tax rate. The effects of the 2017 Tax Act did not have a significant impact on the Company's consolidated financial statements during the years ended July 31, 2021 and 2020.
